Roode KD Michaud earned her Master of Public Health from New York University with a focus on Management and Policy. Roode is passionate about women’s health and reducing infant mortality in Black communities. Roode’s goal is to build a sustainable community where Black women have access to the education and resources they need.

Born in Haiti and raised in New York, Roode has witnessed firsthand the healthcare inequities affecting Black women. Roode’s extensive experience in the nonprofit sector—providing mental health services to women and families, has further fueled her commitment to empower and educate Black women through sustainable change.
